William Patrick Palmer

William Patrick Palmer was born on September 27, 1970, in Ashtabula Ohio, to Lucinda Nappi Palmer and William Lee Palmer.  His sister, Valerie, and his mother were both by his side as he passed away on March 6, 2025.

Billy was a graduate of Ashtabula Harbor High School in 1988 where he was elected to be the President of his Senior Class. After graduation he attended Ashtabula Kent State University. That was when he decided he wanted to work outside and not in an office.  He began his own Landscaping business and his perfecting skills with his work contributed greatly to the beauty of businesses and private homes throughout the city.

He played baseball in his earlier years. Later on he liked to go fishing and enjoyed golfing.  He also like to hunt during the fall with some of his friends.  He was elected as President of the Young Men’s Social Club for a year.

Billy enjoyed feeding the wildlife that visited the tree outside of his apartment. He had corn surrounding the base of that tree and watched birds of several varieties swooping down to enjoy the bounty.  Deer also enjoyed the corn from time to time.  Hummingbirds would stop by for a treat from the feeders he had for them.

Billy especially enjoyed celebrating holidays with his family. the food and the company of his Mom , his brother Steve, his sister Valerie , his sister-in-law, Beth, and the lights of his life, his niece, Raeana and his nephews ,Ethan and Ben, were always a joyous time for Billy. Family was important to him every day but the holidays were special to him.

Billy is survived by his mother, Cindy , his brother , Steve (Beth) Palmer , his sister, Valerie Palmer , his aunts, Charlotte Frye and Marcella Novak , his uncle Frank Nappi , his nieces , Raeana Kiss , his nephews , Ethan Palmer and Benjamin Palmer , Ben is also his godson.  Also surviving are his cousins, Nancy Kuns, Cynthia Nappi, Sam Nappi, Andrew Viancourt, Jessica Johnson, and Michael Marion.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Frank J. and Shirley Nappi, his cousin, Jeremy Richard Cartner, his aunt, Norma Marion, and his father William Lee Palmer.

Billy also leaves behind a host of friends.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Father Ernesto Rodriguez who was so kind to Billy during these most difficult times.

And thank you to the Young Men’s Social Club for always supporting Billy these past four years.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday March 14 at Noon in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with Father Ernesto Rodriguez officiating , burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 at Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. Ashtabula .  Condolences can be made at guerrierofuneralhome.com
