Virginia A. (Virginia Rose) Buona

Virginia A. Buona (94) of Ashtabula died on Oct. 1, 2019 at the Country Club Retirement Center.

Born March 24, 1925 in Ashtabula she was the daughter of John A. and Hilma (Toppari) Rose.

Mrs. Buona was a graduate of Harbor High School class of 1943 , she was formerly employed with Farmers Bank, Society Bank , Northwest Electric Company , and she retired form Community Counseling Center in 2008 at the age of 83. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish.

Survivors include her daughter Barbara J. ( Warren) Brown of Ashtabula , son Ralph M. (Chris) Buona of Ashburn VA. , grandchildren Christina (Ben) Meola of Painesville , Timothy (Kimberly) Brown of Erie Pa. , Melissa (John) Zarbo of Westerville Ohio , Lisa Buona of Colorado Springs Co. , Kurt (Sarah) Buona of Ashburn Va. Great grandchildren Benjamin Meola , Matthew Brown , Jacob Brown , Joseph Meola , Rachel Brown , Andrew Zarbo , Bella Gerardo, Vincent Buona ,  and Autum Buona.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Norman Rose.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday Oct. 5 at Noon in Our Lady of Peace Parish , Mother of Sorrows Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 in Guerriero Funeral Home. 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula.
