Veronica Rose (Annick) Campagne (96) of Ashtabula passed on Feb. 27, 2023 at the Country Club Retirement Center , Peacefully surrounded by her family.
Born Jan. 30, 1927 in Ashtabula she was the daughter of Anthony and Florence (Pavolino) Annick.
In her younger years, Veronica was employed by the Ashtabula Hyde and Leather. Along with her husband, they owned and operated several soda fountains and delicatessens in the Ashtabula area and later with her sister and brother-in-law the Ashtabula Plaza Cocktail Lounge. The majority of her life was spent as a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Among all the times spent with her family, she enjoyed Saturday evenings most of all, where her family would gather to enjoy good food, conversation and lots of laughter. For many years their home on Union Ave was the center of events for holidays and special occasions where family and friends gathered.
Survived by her children Lorraine (Ken deceased) Bean, Karen (Peachie) Campagne-Smith, James (Lynda) Campagne, Rudy (Jodi) Campagne. Grandchildren, Tracy (Michael) Moody, Jason Apryasz, Kami Bean, Matt Bean, Mark Bean (Kelly), Tony Campagne, Jim (Beatrice) Campagne, Andy Campagne and Lindey Campagne. Great grandchildren, Jaiden, Xander, Braxton, Addison, Angelo, Coulson, James, Dexter, Cora.
Proceeded in death by her parents , husband Rudolph V. granddaughter Julie Lyn Bean , and sisters Carrie Annick, Eleanor Muto, Marion Busch.
The Family would like to thank the health care providers of the Country Club and Hospice of the Western Reserve.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Veronica Campagne’s name to The Hospice of the Western Reserve Lake Ave, Ashtabula Ohio , Our Lady of Peace Parish or St. John School.
