Vaughn E. Paine

Vaughn E. Paine (77) of Orwell passed away on October 15, 2021 following a long illness.

Born April 13, 1944 in Warren, Ohio he was the son of Leo E. and Mildred (Sampson) Paine.

Vaughn graduated from Rock Creek High School class of 1962 and attended Kent State University Ashtabula campus. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Lachenheath Air Force Base in England from 1965 to 1968.

Mr. Paine was the former owner of Paine Funeral Homes in Orwell and Rock Creek. He was a member of the Freemasons, 30 year member of the Morgan Hose volunteer Fire Dept. were he served as Assistant chief. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, boating, and snowmobiling.

Survivors include his wife Bonnie Paine, son Kirk (Ella) Paine , step-children Melissa (Melvin) Anderson , Owen Cunningham Jr.(Amy) , Ashley (Jesse) Atkins, grandchildren  Madison Paine , Gage and Morgan Cunningham , Dylan and Nicholas Anderson , Laci and Gavin Atkins , sister-in-law Carol Krieg, Pat Ahola , and Debbie Schimley , brother-in-law Tom and Ed Schimley and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents

Visitation will be on Saturday Oct. 23 from 12:00 to 1 at the Chapel in Union Cemetery in Rock Creek. Private funeral services will follow with Military Honors being conducted by the United States Air Force.
