Tomasina (Candela) Mauro

Thomasina (Tommie) (Candela) Mauro (age 91), died peacefully on Wednesday November 13, 2019, at University Hospital Geauga Medical Center.

Born March 22, 1928 in Ashtabula, Ohio and a graduate of Ashtabula High School in 1945, she is survived by her husband of 62 years, Pat Mauro, her sisters Delores (Candela) Peura, Jean (Candela) Meola, and her children, Karen Mauro, Linda Mauro, Beth (Mauro) Anderson and son-in-law Mark Anderson, Connie (Mauro) Bashara and son-in-law Tim Bashara,  8 great grandchildren and 5 grandchildren. 

Thomasina was one of four daughters born to Joseph (Jasper) Candela and Rose (Ambrose) Candela. She is preceded in death by Don Mauro, her sister Rose (Candela) Gouhin, and her parents Joseph and Rose Candela. 

A private ceremony was held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Guerrerio Funeral Home.  Donations can be made to Ahlzheimer’s Foundation of America.
