Tabitha (Jackson) Johnston (55) OF Ashtabula passed away on Dec. 11, 2025 unexpectedly in her home.
Born on June 5, 1970 in Ashtabula she is the daughter of Mike and Gloria (Jackson) Johnson. Tabitha was married twice. First husband James Long of Ashtabula, and second was Rich Johnston of Ashtabula and her current Fiancé of the last nine years is Steven Sewell of Akron.
Tabitha was a Panther 100 percent Graduating from Ashtabula High School, she loved her black and gold colors. This is where she started many life time friendships, she was employed at Convenient and went to work at her fiberglass factory job.
Tabitha loved her children and family dearly. She loved bargain shopping, yard sales and having her own yard sales. Later in her life she got her first granddaughter Everleigh. She loved her time and days that she spent with her. That little girl was Tabby’s world. Tabitha then got her second grandchild Hudson. The love she had for both of them was nothing but the best grandmother ever. Tabitha made time for anyone she loved and cared about even if it was just a text saying {“love you”.
Survivors include her parents Mike and Gloria Johnson , children Mitchell (Elaine Allen) Long of Ashtabula , Hailey Marie (Joshua Cogswell) Johnston of Ashtabula , grandchildren Everleigh and Hudson Cogswell of Ashtabula , siblings Kimberly Fleissner of Kingsville , Mike (Jenny) Johnson Jr. of Ashtabula , Rose (Jack) Beal of Ashtabula , many nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents Jacksons and Johnsons, niece Jenna Johnson Bleil, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral service will be on Monday Dec. 15 at 7 P.M. in Guerriero Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Roberts officiating. Burial will take place in Saybrook Cemetery. Visitation will also be at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 7 P.M. Condolences can be made at guerrierofuneralhome.com
