Santo Parisi Obituary

Santo Charles Paul Parisi January 4, 1937 – December 6, 2025 Sam passed away unexpectedly on December 6, 2025. He was the son of Paulo and Giuseppina Parisi; Father of Christina (Tim) and Dina (deceased); Brother of Marianne Parisi McCune (John deceased) and Claire-Marie Kudlak (Raymond); Uncle of Joelle (Dave) and Paul (Kelly) and Grand Uncle of Nick, Ike and Claire Sam was born in Sant’Agata de Militello, Sicily, Italy on January 4, 1937. He and his family came to America in 1948 and settled in Cleveland, Ohio. Sam Parisi was a modern day Renaissance man. He loved knowledge…broadening his mental horizons.  He wrote poetry, prose and also explored history with a focus on the Roman Empire and World War II.  He was influenced by his parents who shared his search for knowledge. His first endeavor was as a Research Analyst for the Cleveland Plain Dealer.  He would bring home book upon book of his research which filled the dining room table. He did a shocking turn when he decided to become Plant Production Manager for Wagner Bakery located at that time in Cleveland. From that successful run at Wagner’s, Sams next jump went to Freezer Queen as General Manager. Within a decade, he took Freezer Queen from a losing company to a national mutli-million dollar enterprise.  Once again he changed course, deciding to move to Ashtabula to be closer to family. At this time he had befriended Neil Frieder at the Ashtabula Star Beacon.  He continued his love in the art of research and writing, submitting articles on the meaning of Christmas and replanning of the Ashtabula Harbor. Sam was instrumental and made a significate contribution in the developing of the now SIGNATURE HEALTH.  Sam also took this time to assist other business, consulting in the streamlining of their merchandizing. In this matter he was a positive force to the Ashtabula region.   No matter what he accomplished in his lifetime, first and foremost, he was a devoted and loving father to his daughters, Dina and Christina.  His daughters were always first.
