Sandra L. Malizia

Boca Raton, FL.  Sandra L. Malizia, (73) formerly of Ashtabula, passed on November 17, 2019, surrounded by family.  She had given way to a long fight with cancer.  Sandra was born on July 19th, 1946 and was a long time resident of Ashtabula, graduating from St. John High School in 1964.  She had most recently resided in Boca Raton, Florida near her daughter Julie and he brother Wes.  She was preceded in death by her father Anthony Matson (Matriciano), her mother Evelyn Matson, and her ex-husband Peter Malizia.  Survivors include her daughter Julie Malizia (Jeff Boruszewski), son Peter Malizia, III (Morgan), and granddaughter Adeline Malizia.  During Sandra’s life she spent several years working as an LPN, but her most fulfilling job was spent being a mother and especially a grandmother to Addy.  There will be a memorial mass at St. Joseph Church on Saturday, December 28th at noon, with the burring of ashes and a celebration of life to follow.
