     Samuel (Sambo or Sammy) Louis Izzi, (29) died unexpectedly Thursday night in Ashtabula, Ohio. Sam was born January 19th 1993 in Ashtabula, Ohio and passed away on December 8th, 2022 in Ashtabula Ohio.  

    Sam was the son of William & LuAnn (Ray) Izzi. Sam went to grade school at Saints John & Paul where he met and cherished many childhood friends. Sam transferred to Lakeside High School his Sophomore year  and graduated in the class of 2011 ,where he was proud to have met so many great friends along his short journey on earth.

      Sambo was quiet to most, but once he let you in his life, he opened up.  Those that TRULY knew Sambo knew that he was a kind, loving soul that would give you the shirt off his back even if it put him in an uncomfortable situation. Putting others first his entire life, Sambo loved moving people, making people happy, and loving HARD. The world needs more people like Sambo, more people that are kind, genuine, loving, patient, caring, respectful , polite, and not afraid to tell you how they feel. 

     Sambo loved playing baseball and was one HECKUVA hitter and 3rd baseman. He loved music, poetry, cooking with his dad and Yvette at Izzi’s Spaghetti House, hanging with his friend (squad), his dog Peanut, his niece Rosalia (Rosebud) and so many people in this life. He is with his mom now, who served as his rock his entire life here on earth. He was proud to have such a strong independent mother in his life and loved her more than anything else in this world.  He is now with mom and there’s no doubt he is showing her what kind of haircut he wants, while asking what type of cookies she would like to bake with him in return. Sam and Lu were inseparable, they showed a special bond on earth and they were meant to be together forever. 

     Survivors include his father and step-mother William & Yvette Izzi, brother Alex (Sarah) Izzi, niece Rosalia Izzi. half-brother William (Heather) Izzi Jr. nephew Max Izzi, several cousins and friends.     Sam is preceded in death by his Mother, LuAnn Izzi, grandparents William and Marianne Izzi and Louis and Mary Ray.
