It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Rose DeGennaro Milano. Rose was born March 17, 1932 to the late Frank and Lena DeGennaro.
Our mother was a selfless, loving, caring mom to Renee Corbin, JoAnn (Dan) Weir, Terri Keisel, John (Cris) Rutz. Grandmother to Samantha (Paul) Guidry, Gina (Pete) Corbin, Jessica Weir, Amber Weir, Matthew (Rayna) Lanigan, Adam McKinney, Sarah (Ricky) Hernandez, Jordan (Shirley) Rutz, Jenna (Sam) Jordan, and step children Rick (Sharon) Fenton and Jeff Milano. Step grandchildren Victor (Diana) Milano, six great-grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Rose and Len enjoyed winters in Jenson Beach Florida where they formed many friendships with other snowbirds, Sunday pasta dinner with family, and trying every new fad diet plan. Rose attended Mother of Sorrows Elemenaty School and graduated from Harbor High School in 1950. She was employed by Ohio Bill and Mid Continent and Alltel telephone companies until her retirement in the last 1980’s. Rose was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Lena DeGennaro, bothers Francis (Dege) and Vincent DeGennaro, late husband Leonard Milano, grandchild Tatum Marie Lanigan, Jamie Milano, and Sherri Ball.
Visitation will be on Wednesday March 6 from 10 to 11:30 with funeral to follow at 11:30 in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula with Father Raymond Thomas , Of Our Lady of Peace officiating.
