Miquelina “Mikki” (Hoegler) Cox, 77, passed away on Tuesday December 30, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born July 8, 1948 in Fall River, MA she was the daughter of Frederick and Silvana “Sylvia” (Ferreira) Hoegler.
She graduated from Harvey High School in 1967. She married her beloved husband of 55 years Dennis M. Cox on July 8, 1967 at St. Mary’s church in Painesville, OH.
Mikki worked as a waitress in her younger years, Kmart pharmacy and her and Denny owned/operated Lakeshore Lanes Bowling Alley for many years.
Mikki enjoyed all things fun. She loved to go shopping, lunch with her friends/family, rides in the countryside enjoying life’s natural beauty, gambling (which she learned from her husband ).
She never asked for much in this lifetime other than the company and love of her family and friends. She was always there for anyone who needed her, an ear to bend if you wanted to vent. She gave her all in the love and support of a mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She liked what she liked and believed what she knew made the world a better place. You would not change her mind, because her heart was always good and she put others before herself.
Miquelina is survived by her daughter Lisa (Fran) Colling, son Paul Cox, grandchildren Adam and Nya Colling, her best dog/friend Isabella, a sister Helene Lawrence, nieces Kathy (Jimmy) Grimes, Lynn (Rodney) Martinez, Jennifer (Adam) Petrovic and her best friend for a life-time Pierrette McConnell.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis M. Cox, parents Frederick and Silvana “Sylvia” (Ferreira) Hoegler, in-laws Walter and Frances (Rockwell) Cox, siblings Silvia (Ralph) Webb, Jimmy Hoegler and Arthur “Hoppy” Hoegler.
