Marion Louise (Spore) Zalimeni, age 88, of Ashtabula, Ohio peacefully
passed away on March 22, 2026, surrounded by Family. Marion was born
on December 16, 1937 in Media, Pennsylvania. Daughter of the late Harry
Louis Spore and Elizabeth (Freeborn) Spore. She was a graduate of Geneva
High School, then employed at the Geneva Metal Wheel Company as a Secretary.
In May of 1960, she married the love of her life, Nicholas Anthony Zalimeni,
and they had 65 Wonderful years together. She is survived by her Children:
Gail Zalimeni Brooks (Gordon) of Albany, Ohio and Nicholas Anthony Zalimeni,
Jr. (Mark) of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Two Grandchildren: Preston Anthony
Brooks (Allie) of Anna, Ohio and Dr. Nicole Elizabeth Brooks of Cleveland
Heights, Ohio.
Marion loved taking care of her family, baking, cooking, sewing, and crocheting.
Family camping trips and fishing on Lake Erie were common occurrences.
Marion volunteered at her Children’s Schools, coordinated the Geneva High
School Class of 1955 Reunion for many years, and enjoyed playing Bingo and
Slot Machines.
Throughout her lifetime, Marion and Nick traveled all over the United States
and enjoyed spending the Winter Months in Spring Hill, Florida. Marion would
talk to anyone and everyone, she never met a stranger. She was known for her
Quick Wit and Sense of Humor.
Calling Hours will be on Saturday, March 28th from 9:30-10:30 am at Guerriero
Funeral Home located at 1550 W. 19 th Street in Ashtabula; Funeral Mass will be
held at Our Lady of Peace Parish located at 1200 E. 21 st Street at 11:00 a.m.
followed by Internment at St. Josephs Cemetery located at 1200 W. 19 th Street, then
a Celebration of Life at The Crow’s Nest located at 1257 Harmon Road. condolences at
