Marguerite "Peggy" A. (Volpone) Mead

Marguerite A. “Peggy” Mead (88) of Ashtabula passed on Dec. 1. 2023 at the Country Club Retirement Center.

Born June 3, 1935 in Ashtabula she was the daughter of Anthony and Eleanor (Anderson) Volpone.

Peggy graduated from Ashtabula High School class of 1953 and on Nov. 12, 1955 she married Charles “Bud” Mead in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

She was a well-known in the area as a cake baker. She enjoyed sports especially Ohio State,The Browns and The Indians. Her number one love was spending time with her family. 

Survivors include her daughter Jerry Anne Berg (Donald Lansbury) , sons Scott (Debi) Mead , Tim (Ellen) Mead , John (Tracy) Mead , daughter in law Teri Mead , grandchildren Mindy Morrell (Andrew), Sarah Peterson(Aaron),Nicole Best (Brad), Chris Berg , Tim Berg( Ally) , Chaz Mead (Kariann),Kyle Mead , Tony Mead, Gio Mead, Tommie Mead, Luca Mead , Vinny Mead , Katlyn Mead , Conner Mead , great grandchildren A.J. , Nora, Natalie , Aiden , Alex, Charlotte  and a sister Donna Capitena.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud Mead, and a son Robert Mead.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday Dec. 4, 2023 at 7 P.M. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with Father Raymond Thomas officiating, visitation will be on Monday afternoon from 4:30 to 6:30 at Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19thSt. in Ashtabula. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family
