Leonard P. Lemire

Leonard P. Lemire, 80, passed away peacefully at his apartment in Akron, Ohio

on October 3, 2024. He was born on April 29, 1944, in Cleveland, the 2 nd son of George and Matilda (Simon) Lemire.

He graduated from Pymatuning Valley High School in 1962, The Ohio State University in 1972, and the Le Cordon Bleu Chef School in Paris, France in1974. Over the course of his life he sailed the Great Lakes, served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, and worked in the restaurant business as chef, manager and owner. He enjoyed the finer things in life – traveling, good restaurants, English comedy and solitude.

Leonard is survived by two sisters, Jeanne Novotny and Therese Hoffman; and one brother, Jerome. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Timothy, Daniel, Richard and Thomas.
