Kathern N. (Uphold) Spangler

On January 20, 2025 Mom completed her Journey to Heaven.

Kathern Nettie Spangler was born on April 3, 1929 to Harvey and Loretta (Nair) Uphold in Maidsville West Virginia.

Kathern worked at the University of West Virginia until Her marriage to Darald R. Spangler in 1947. In 1950 they moved to Conneaut Ohio, later to Kingsville. Mom’s life was devoted to God and her children and family.

Survivors include her children Linda Rich  ,Donn (Sue) Spangler , Larry Spangler , grandchildren Jim (Kori) Rich , Kathy Rich , Kevin (Leslie) Spangler , Amy (Will) Spangler , Niki Spangler , Ryan (Wendie) Spangler , Jami (Anokh) Kondru , Dustin (Sara) Spangler , 13 great grandchildren , and 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Darald , 5 brothers, 2 sisters, son-in-law Jim Rich, grandson Daniel Norman, and grandson in law Richard Hernandez.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful people at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home, E wing. No words can express our gratitude for the love Mom received. Also the Angels of Hospice of Western Reserve.
