Joyce M. (Dragon) Dispenza

Joyce M. Dispenza (65) of Ashtabula died on Friday evening at the University Hospital of Cleveland.

Born June 18, 1952 in Cleveland she was the daughter of Elias and Vera (Azzano) Dragon.

Joyce graduated from Harbor High School class of 1971 and on June 16, 1973 she married Michael Dispenza in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ashtabula.

She enjoyed playing slot machines , bingo , and watching the cooking channel.

Survivors include her daughter Stacy (Tomas) Dispenza-Gonzalez , granddaughters Ivy Essig , Shilo Gonzalez , brothers James Dragon , and Nicholas Dragon.

She was preceded in death by her parents , husband Sgt. Michael Dispenza  , brother Elias Dragon Jr. , sister Christine Stickle , and step father Richard Grimes.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday June 20, 2018 at Noon in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula , with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 at the funeral home.
