Joseph Leo Orlando, age 83, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Born on November 5, 1941, in Ashtabula, Ohio, he was the son of the late Anthony and Rose (St. Angelo) Orlando.
Joe lived a life filled with love, hard work, and dedication to his family and community. He married his high school sweetheart, Jeanette (Allcock), on June 17, 1961, and together they raised three children: Mark (Terri) Orlando, Janice (Mike) Reinke, and Joe (Crystal) Orlando. His greatest joy was being surrounded by his children and, later, his grandchildren: Leo (Alyssa) Orlando, Sarah (Andrew) Robinson, Alex Orlando, Abbey Reinke, Justin Reinke, Adalyn Orlando, and Andrew Orlando, as well as his great-granddaughter, Nora Mae Orlando.
In 1977, Joe co-founded Orlando Brothers Golden Dawn in Conneaut with his brother, Ron. His work ethic, business acumen, and commitment to his community made him a respected figure in the area. Joe was an active member of the Conneaut Rotary Club and served on numerous local boards. He was always eager to contribute to the well-being of others.
Beyond his professional life, Joe was a passionate golfer, often spending time on the course with family and friends. He was also a proud alumnus of the legendary Guerriero poker game, where his wit and camaraderie were appreciated by all who knew him.
Joe was preceded in death by his brothers Sam, Leo, Anthony, Robert, and his sister Norma. He is survived by his beloved wife Jeanette, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, brothers Ron and Terry Orlando and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Joe's love for his family and his selfless nature will always be remembered. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and a life well-lived. His passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his memory will continue to inspire and guide his family and friends.
