John Wayne Oakes

John Wayne Oakes (48) of Ashtabula died on Jan. 30 at home of natural causes.

Born June 18, 1971 in Ferrel Pa. he was the son of William Ann Phyllis (Wood) Oakes.

He enjoyed camping John Deere Tractors and Harley Davidson Motor Cycles.

Survivors include his mother Phyllis Ross , girlfriend Lona Mae Hamilton , daughter Justina Hamilton , brothers William , Jesse , and Jason Oakes , sister Virginia Perdue ,  grandmother Emma Brown , step children Jessica Grey , Bobbie Grey , Shauna Grey and Anthony Fleissner , seven step grandchildren , one grandbaby on the way.

He was preceded in death by his father .

Funeral service will be on Tuesday at Noon in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. with Brother Even Hamilton officiating ,  burial to follow in Edgewood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday morning from 10: 30 to 12:00 at the funeral home.
