John R. Colicchio (94) of Ashtabula died on Monday morning at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
Born Feb. 6, 1925 in Ashtabula, he was the son of Donato and Juliana (Ferberdino) Colicchio.
John was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII and Korea. He worked for Singer Co., Morell Dress as the head of maintenance.
John was a member of the American Legion, East Ashtabula Club, Sons of Italy of America, and Our Lady of Peace parish. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Survivors include his children daughter Debbie Carroll, sons John (Carolyn), Gary, and Ric (Charmain) Colicchio, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Edith Colicchio, son Joseph Colicchio, sisters Edith Nerone, Helen Church, brothers Ted, Benny, Tom, and Bobby Colicchio.
Funeral service will be on Saturday July 6, 2019 at Noon in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. Ashtabula with entombment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Honor Guard Team Post 103, Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:30 to 12 at the funeral home.
