Janet Carol (Daiger) Lamb

Janet Carol Daiger Lamb, age 88, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026. She was born on June 12, 1937, in Barberton, Ohio, to James and Mable Daiger.

Janet was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her husband, James Lamb; and her siblings James, Eugene,Barbara and Patricia. She is survived by her sister, Eileen Chapman.

Janet was a devoted and loving mother to her children: Robin Harris (Carl), Sue Giannell (Pat), and Michael Casserman (Lori). She was a proud grandmother to Erica Shindledecker, Rachel Morse (Jeff), Tony Giannell, Alicia Mayer (Doug), Amy Olivera (Aaron), Lauren Basham (Jason), Jason Casserman, Michelle Brown (Jordan), and Jacob Casserman, and a cherished great-grandmother to twelve great-grandchildren.

A 1955 graduate of Barberton High School, Janet built a life centered around faith, family, and joy. She was an active member of her Catholic parish, where she faithfully served as an usher and eucharistic minister. Janet loved being around people and truly came alive when entertaining—especially during holidays, when her home was filled with laughter, music, and the aroma of her baked goods. She was a gracious hostess, and had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. 

Music was one of Janet’s great passions, and she joyfully shared that love with her children. She also enjoyed shopping, dancing, socializing, and staying active with walks in the park. Always ready for a fun activity or a new adventure. Above all, she was deeply proud of her family and worked tirelessly to support and care for them.

Janet’s life will be celebrated on February 13, 2026, at Saint Cyprian Catholic Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Rd., Perry, Ohio 44081. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest in God’s peace at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron, Ohio.
