James Brian Kane (84) ;
Long time Ashtabula resident, Brian Kane passed away from heart failure
complications December 13, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio.
He was preceded in death and sorely missed his wife of over 57 years, Marie
(McCoy) Kane of Ashtabula; survived by sons, Vince of Spring, Texas, and
Dennis of El Cajon, Calif. He is also survived by a brother, Ken (Billie Moore)
Kane of Ashtabula and preceded in death by brother Mike (Kay) Kane of
Madison. He also very much missed and preceded in death by family pet
Labrador Retriever, "Pepper".
Brian was born December 24, 1939, in Ashtabula, Ohio, to James Kenneth
and Lillian (Luoma) Kane, who both preceded him in passing. He was a
Harbor High School graduate ('57) and attended Fenn College (now
Cleveland State) studying engineering. He had a long-time management
career in the fiberglass industry helping found Trans Plastics of Conneaut and
was on design team of the initial Corvette fiberglass body in the early days of
Molded FiberGlass Companies of Ashtabula. Private family services were held.
