James A. Cusano Jr.,88, born September 12, 1932, passed away August 5, 2021, in Ashtabula with his family by his side after a long battle with various illnesses over several years. He was a strong and resilient man for many years.
He was the third child of thirteen to James and Florence Cusano and married his loving wife Judith (Ovak) on July 19, 1952. He worked for several years at G and H Wrecking rebuilding all types of radiators.
He loved his Cleveland sports teams, Ohio State football, and watching stock car racing on television. He had a passion for brush hogging with his Allis Chalmers Tractors until his health prevented him not to. He was a man of many talents and strong willed enough to do what he made his mind up to do. He loved getting together with family on holidays and spending time with the grand and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his two sons, James (Regina), and Jeff (Sheila), son in law Mike Pittman, grandchildren, Jimmy, Danny, Brian, Taylor, Jessica, and Jacob, and his thirteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings, Joanne, Beverly, William, Roy, Charles, and Richard, many nieces and nephews, and sister in -law Sandy Cusano.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Judith, daughter Jeanne, and siblings John, Lawrence, Joseph, Lucy, Louise, and Mary.
The family would like to thank the staff at ACMC, Andover Village, and Hospice.
Funeral mass will be celebrated Monday 11:00 AM in St. Andrews Church in Sheffield with a burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-5 in Guerriero Funeral Home.
