Ivo Marino

Ivo Marino (89) of Ashtabula passed on May 2, 2022 at the Lantern of Saybrook.

Born May 10 1932 in Cerro Al Volturno (cupone) Italy , he was the son of  Alfredo & Nunziata (DeCola) Marino.
Ivo was a veteran of the Italian Army and worked at various jobs during his young adulthood.

He married Orietta DeCola in 1955 and moved together to the United States in 1968 and settled in Ashtabula.
He was employed at Rockwell plastics and GMR technology as a press operator until his retirement in 1997
He was an avid gardener who took pleasure in sharing his fruits vegetables and gardening  knowledge to many.

Ivo is survived by his brother Armando of Rome Italy, nephew Tony(Gina) Giancola of Ashtabula and other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Orietta in 2015 his infant son Alfredo and his parents.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday May 7 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Joseph Church with entombment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10 to 11.
