Gregory Stevens, age 65, died unexpectedly at home on April 20, 2023.Born
April 19, 1958 in Ashtabula to Harold Stevens and Sheila (Bush) Woode, Greg graduated from Ashtabula High School and Ashtabula County Vocational School in 1976. After working many jobs, Greg found his joy in working as a laborer. He worked for many years for WeatherSealCo in Ashtabula and later for Phantom Screens in both West Palm Beach, Florida and Cleveland, Ohio. He took great pride in his work and kept the most organized work truck. He knew where every bolt and tool was located.
Anyone that knew Greg knew that he loved music. Preferably at a loud decibel and so that he could "feel the music". He preferred 80's rock over any other but would listen to most any music. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He loved making smores by the fire or tinkering around the house with them, teaching them how to use tools.
Greg is survived by his wife of 36 years Wendy (Pasanen), son Shawn
(Jillena) of Columbus, daughter Cherise of Miami, Florida, daughter Sheena (Jake) Newsome of Ashtabula, brother Rodney of Geneva, Beloved grandchildren Marco
Rich, Roman Rich and Sophia Newsome, Stepmother Tammie Stevens of Maple
Heights, Doug Bartlett, his mother's long time partner who is like a father to him,
Mother-in-law Jackie Pasanen, Brother-in-law Wayne Pasanen, Sister-in-laws Jill Osowski and Cindy Lowe, Son-in-law Joe Rich, wonderful neighbors and friends Marnie and Rick Lopez who were like family to him, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, grandparents, his father-in-law Wayne Pasanen and numerous aunts and uncles.
It was Gregory's wish to be cremated and to have his ashes spread in the warmth of Florida, a state he always loved to visit and enjoyed living in. No services will be observed at this time.
