Gerald A. Santillo

Gerald A. Santillo, age 79, passed away on August 13, 2022 in the ICU of UH-Lake West Hospital, following complications after a 2 year illness.

Gerald was born November 18, 1942. He was the son of Anthony and Mary (Quaranta) Santillo.

He graduated from Ashtabula High School and Kent State University with a Bachelor Degree in Education. He taught at St. Joseph elementary, Chestnut School and Columbus Junior High School.  He retired from Conrail in the 1990’s following an injury. After retiring, He spent his winters in Florida enjoying concerts and spring training baseball.

Gerald was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and brother-in-law Frank Sposito.

He is survived by his sister Judy Sposito, and several special cousins.

Father John Smith of Our Lady of Peace conducted Private services. Jerry was a member of OLOP-Mt. Carmel and Light of Christ Parish in Clearwater, Florida.
