Genevieve (Palumbo) Foglio

Genevieve M. Foglio, 95, a lifelong resident of Ashtabula, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025. She was born on September 14, 1929, to John and Mable Palumbo.  Genevieve was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and cherished member of her community.

On September 15, 1950, Genevieve married Joseph N. Foglio, and together they shared 71 years of love and devotion until his passing. A dedicated homemaker, she also worked as a secretary and Mary Kay Cosmetics consultant, balancing her career with her commitment to family. Her warmth and energy shone through in her many passions, including volleyball, bocce, singing, and serving as a Girl Scout leader and CCD teacher.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph, her parents, John and Mable Palumbo, and her brother, Jack Palumbo. She leaves behind her loving children, Janis Williams (Edward) , Greg Foglio (Beth), Joseph Foglio (Maria), Dean Foglio (Kym), and John Foglio (Kathy)  as well as her dear brother, Terry Palumbo of Ashtabula, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory.

Genevieve’s legacy of love, faith, and community spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday May 6 , 2025 at 1P.M. with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula. Condolences can be made at guerrierofuneralhome.com
