Gene A. Yoak, 84, of Orlando, Florida , passed away on Saturday, August 19,2025. Born November 6, 1940 in Ashtabula, OH.,he was the son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Ann) Yoak.
He was a graduate of Kingsville High School, Kent State, and Loyola University. Gene worked for many years at Rockwell in Ashtabula and Meritor in York,S.C.Gene was very active in Presbyterian Churchs in both areas. He also was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge in Ashtabula.
Gene had a very active retirement. He became a pilot, a sharpshooter, and volunteered for York Police Dpt. He loved the time he spent with his grandson,Stefan, as they built a tree house, went camping and golfing.
Gene and his sons,Shawn and Scott, built a hot rod and then the fun started.Above all, Gene loved being with his family.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, of 63 years Shirley,and children Shawn,(Patty) Scott, Stefan (Elizabeth ) all of Orlando, FL. His brothers,Jim(Janet) Yoak, of Dallas,GA, Charles(Beth) Yoak of Sulphur Springs TX. He was preceded in death by sister, Edith Hill.
