ASHTABULA- Fred Lawrence Rossetti, 72, of Minnesota Avenue, died Saturday January 11, 2025, at home unexpectedly.
Born October 10, 1952 in Ashtabula, he was the son of Anthony S. And Gladys I. (Crowle) Rossetti and was an Ashtabula resident and a graduate of Harbor high school in 1971.
Most well known as a business owner of “The Gallery” Fred was also a long time employee of B&B Wrecking and Excavating and part of the local 310 union as a demolition contractor also holding supervisory roles. His vast knowledge of the construction and demolition business led to his involvement and consulting with multiple companies and friends in his later years.
He was a member of the E.A.C., Sons of Italy and a guest member of the American Legion, he enjoyed playing Golf and Bocce in multiple leagues with his long time friends. Later he enjoyed cheering on his great nieces and nephews in multiple sporting events in addition to his love of all Ohio Sports teams. His hobbies include wine making, swimming in his pool that he took meticulous care of and gardening. He was well known throughout his neighborhood as a self sufficient hard worker and friend who enjoyed helping others in any way possible.
His survivors include the love of his life Mariann Rossetti (Rebera) married in 1974, son Nick Rossetti of Ashtabula; four sisters, Cindi (Pat “Boongie”) DiAngelo of Ashtabula, Sue Taylor of Ashtabula, Sandra (Jack) Rosario of Ashtabula, and Debbie Lines of Florida; and one brother David (Pat) Danker of Toledo in addition to several cousins nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Anthony Rossetti, and four brothers Richard Rossetti, Robert Rossetti, Anthony Rossetti Jr. and John Rossetti; as well as one sister Judy Martin, and his mother and father.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church , 1200 East 21 St. Ashtabula , on Tuesday January 21st at 11AM, Condolences can be made at guerrierofuneralhome.com
