FLORENCE IAROCCI- With sad hearts we share the passing of our beloved mother,
Florence Iarocci on
Aug. 24, 2025 ,at Saybrook Landing.
She was born on April 16, 1927 in Little Italy, Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of
Felix and Josephine (Nappi) Esposito. Florence graduated in 1945 from Ashtabula High
School. She was employed with Rockwell Plastics for 16 years. She married Dominic
Iarocci in 1948, and they celebrated 50 years of marriage and enjoyed traveling all
around the world.
Her church and her family were her main focus. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady
of Peace (Mt.Carmel). She served on many committees for schools and church. In later
years she crafted for charity with a group called The Mission Girls, which was created
by the late Sister Laurie Divoky.
If you knew Florence, you knew her door was always open for a cup of coffee or dinner.
Her Thursday Pasta Dinners were enjoyed by many over the years, friends, family and
many St. John teams. Her Italian dishes were top notch, and her recipes were shared
with many.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Carmella, Mary,
Tony, Ralph Esposito.
She is survived by her 3 children, Dominic (Sue) Iarocci, Janis (Jerry) Brown, Nick
(Nancy) Iarocci all of Ashtabula. Grandchildren, Vince, Joe, Michael Iarocci, Jeremy
Brown, and Adrianna and Alex Iarocci. Plus, many nieces and nephews, she loved
Dearly.
The family would like to thank Saybrook Landing for their outstanding care and support-
to many names to mention.
