Donna Lee (Lander) Dondrea

Donna Lee (Lander) Dondrea was called to heaven to obtain her wings on September 7th, 2020 surrounded by her family.

 She was born on December 31st,1943 in Cleveland, Ohio to Donald and Gertrude (Salmi) Lander. Her family moved from Cleveland to Ashtabula in 1956 and Donna was a lifelong resident. In 1969, Charles S. Dondrea and Donna L. Dondrea found each other, fell in love, and were united in marriage on September 12th, 1970. They renewed their vows last week after 50 years of marriage.
 

Donna graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1962 and eventually went on to complete 2years at Kent State University. After graduating, she went on to work for Kelly Services and Revco and ultimately becoming an Extraordinary Homemaker.
 

Donna L. Dondrea enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was always the life of the party. Donna L. was an amazing cook and loved cooking Italian dishes for family. Donna L. was always helping family and friends in need and would give you the shirt off her back if she knew that. Donna L. enjoyed traveling with her husband, going to Classic car shows with her husband, dancing, walking, spoiling her dog Charlie, and watching her soap opera The Young and the Restless.

Donna L. Dondrea is survived by her husband of 50years, Charles Dondrea, her beloved daughters Kristine N. Dondrea (Carey Estok) of Cleveland, and Beth A. Hayes (David) of Akron. Donna L. Dondrea is also survived by her five grandchildren, Kellan, Aden, Madison, Isabel, and Rosemary And two great grandchildren, Aden Jr. and Avery. she is also survived by two sisters and many loving nieces and nephews.

Donna L. Dondrea was proceeded in death by her parents, Donald and Gertrude Lander, her sisters Miriam Hjort, Darlene Reynolds, and Gertrude Bayuz.

Services are being held on Friday, September 11th, 2020 at 10:00am at Guerriero Funeral Home and a mass will follow at Mt. Carmel Church promptly at 12pm ( please were a mask).
