Dolores Josephine (Paulchel) Luoma

Ashtabula-Dolores J. Luoma passed away October 13, at her home surrounded by family members. Born October 23, 1932 in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was the daughter of Cosmos and Angeline (Carlo) Paulchel. She was a life long resident and a graduate of Ashtabula high school.
After high school she was employed with Farmers Bank. She truly enjoyed her position as a bank teller where she served the Ashtabula public. She cherished life long friendships with co-workers.
Dolores (Dolly) was a life long member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel church where she married the love of her life , Ronald Luoma on October 26, 1957 . Dolly took pride in creating a wonderful , loving home. She devoted her life to her husband and raising their six children. Once the children had grown, she ventured out and was employed at the School employees credit union, now known as Community first credit union. She also participated in home care with the elderly.
Survivors include her children, Mark (Janice) Luoma of Geneva, Stephen (Colleen) Luoma of Montville, Ohio, Karen (Brian) Ritter of Ashtabula, Ronald (Erin) Luoma of Ashtabula, Mary Beth (James) Lacy of Ashtabula, Christopher Luoma and Reon of Ashtabula. Eight grandchildren, Daniel Luoma, Sarah Luoma, James Lacy, Justin Lacy, Evadne Good, Roland Good, Ben Luoma, Loder Luoma, as well as several great grandchildren. One sister, Angela Luoma who was her best friend and confidante. Several nieces nephews and cousins. As well as her life long friend, Genevieve Notter.
She was preceded in death by her parents , spouse ( September 13, 2017)and brothers, James Paulchel, Anthony Paulchel and Phillip Paulchel.
Calling hours will be observed on Sunday October 16 from 2pm-5pm at Guerriero funeral Home ,1550 W 19th St. A mass and Christian burial will be held on Monday October 17, 10am, Our lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1200 E 21st. St. Entombment at St. Joseph cemetery.
