David Keith Covell

David Keith Covell (69) of Ashtabula died peacefully at home.

Born Nov. 3, 1954 in Madison, the son of Clarence and Gladys (Barnum) Covell.

Dave retired from Ashtabula Rubber Company with 43 years of service as the maintenance manager.

He enjoyed watching football, baseball, building motors and drag racing. He raced for many years, and traveled to many drag strips. Dave raced with the Supercharged Warriors and the Supercharged Thunder.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years Stephanie (Ray) Covell, children Carly Covell, Kevin Covell, grandchildren Courtney Ripberger, Kalee Covell, great grandchildren Emma, Fiona, and Connor

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Carl and Robert. No services will be held at this time.
