Clarence C. “Toehead” Guerini (88) of Saybrook Twp. passed away on December 20, 2018 at the Country Club Retirement Center.
Born December 28, 1929 in Ashtabula he was the son of Joseph and Elvera (Rose) Guerini.Clarence was a veteran of the United States Army, and on June 30, 1959 he married the former Doris Harmon in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Ashtabula. He retired from Conrail with 42 years of service.
Clarence enjoyed Cleveland sports teams, gardening, working at Smith Fruit Farm, and going to McDonalds for coffee. He was a member of the American Legion Post 943, and Our Lady of Peace Parish.
Survivors include his daughter Gail Guerini, son Greg (Roni) Guerini, granddaughters Nicole (Christopher) Conrad and Katelynn Guerini, sister Genevieve Notter, brother Stanley Guerini.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Doris Guerini, sister Carmel Stickle, and brothers Mike, Harold, and Joe Guerini.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday Dec. 27 at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Peace Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed by the American Legion Honor Guard Team from post 103. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 to 7 P.M. in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula.
