Carol E. Ray, 82, born on May 16, 1942 daughter of Marion Kruger, passed away
peacefully at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday August
3 rd . Carol was born and raised in Ashtabula where she graduated from Harbor High
School. During her high school years is when she met and eventually married the love
of her life, Robert. Together they celebrated 58 years of marriage, had two children, and
made a beautiful life. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events,
tending to her flowers, crafting, and taking scenic car rides in the Cadillac. Carol is
preceded in death by her husband Robert, mother Marion Kruger, in laws Louis and
Mary Ray, brothers and Sister in law Gary, Kenneth, and Luann, and Godson Samuel
Izzi. She is survived by her children, Mark Ray, Lynnette Ray, and Kris (Mark) Paolillo,
siblings Joyce (Donald) Cummings, and Lynn Harley, Grandchildren Kaela, Tori, and
Bobby Ray, and Nikkita Melnik, Great Grandchildren Trinity, Eliana, Braeden, Braxton,
and Avielle, and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours and services will be held on
Wednesday August 7 from 6 to 8pm at Guerriero Funeral home 1550 W. 19 Th St.
