Barbara Jean (Cevera) DeCamillo

Barbara Jean DeCamillo (83) of Ashtabula passed on March 13, 2021 at the Hillcrest Medical Center.

Born September 21, 1937 in Ashtabula she was the daughter of Joseph and Madeline (Mongello) Cevera.

Barbara graduated from Ashtabula High School class of 1956 and on April 27, 1957 she married Nick DeCamillo in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Ashtabula.

Mrs. DeCamillo was a devoted wife and mother, taking care of her family was her first priority, she was a skill culinary artist specializing in Italian food, She cooked for her family every Saturday for her entire life , Barbara was a former member of the Sweet Adeline’s, former Tops Queen, and a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Our Lady of Peace Parish.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years Nick DeCamillo, daughters Niki Newsome , Vanessa (Doug) McClure , Laurie (Jon) Guerini , Debbie (Harold) Chapman , Melissa (Brian Ryan) DeCamillo , sons Chris (Lori) DeCamillo , and Nick (Gwen) DeCamillo Jr. , 11 grandchildren , 11 great grandchildren , sister Anna Sandella and a brother Richard Cevera, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Grace Passella, Patty Huggins, brothers Bernard, Tom and Steve Cevera.
