Arnold E. Peet, 78, of Ashtabula, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.
Arnie was born on November 20, 1946 to Albert and Eleanor (Urso) Peet. Arnie was a 1964 graduate of Ashtabula High School. After graduating, he served four years in the United States Navy. Following the navy, Arnie attended barber school and became a full time barber while taking classes at Kent State University where he received an associate degree in industrial engineering. He later continued his education and earned a bachelor’s degree from Lake Erie College in 1992. In 2004, Arnie started a fabricating shop with his son and worked in the business until retiring in 2023.
Arnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, watching his grandchildren play sports, spending time with the little ones, and traveling with his wife Connie.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Connie Peet, his children Matthew (Amy) Peet, Julie (Terry) Graeb, Jennifer (Josh) Stephens, AJ (Gwen) Forinash, Maureen (Joe) Massucci, his nine grandchildren Andrew, Alec, and Angela Graeb, Blake, Brady, and Bryce Peet, Ally and Anna Stephens, and Carmen Massucci, his sister Carlene (Pete) Olsen, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Arnie was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Albert A. Peet.
Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace Parish, Mt. Carmel Church at 12pm on Monday, December 9, 2024. Visitation will be from 10:30am until the time of service.
