Tonyia L. Severino, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on August 7, 2026 at the age of 77. Born in North Kingston, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of Payton Parham and Rebecca Hamilton.

Tonyia spent her early years in West Virginia before moving permanently to Jefferson, Ohio when she was 10. She was the oldest of 8 siblings.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, her family was the most important part of her life. She loved family reunions and holidays the most: shopping, decorating, baking and treasuring the family together.

She enjoyed traveling with her family, appreciated vacationing with the Las Vegas crew and loved playing the slots. She delighted in reading, crossword puzzles, gardening, and baking. After retiring as an assistant from Geneva Chiropractic Clinic, she relished every minute of helping babysit her five grandchildren.

The last 15 years of her life she bravely and without complaint battled three different diagnoses of cancer. She was a kind, strong, determined, force to be reckoned with who fought until the end and will forever be treasured and deeply missed.

She is survived by her children Sam Severino Jr.; Trina Severino (Mike Crenshaw) and Stacie (Lou) Orosz; 5 grandchildren Haley, Olivia, Tyler, Toby, and Cody, great grand daughter Camiree; and brothers Scott Hatfield, Charles Hatfield and Bryan Hatfield. She will forever be missed by the many people who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Anthony and Grace(DiSalvatore) Severino; sisters Kathy Ritchie, Rhonda Hatfield, Tammy White; brother Donald Hatfield; and husband of 53 years, Sam Severino Sr.

Funeral service will be Wednesday August 12, 2026 at 1pm in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th Street in Ashtabula. Burial will take place after the funeral in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11am until 1pm at the funeral home.
