Shirley A. Massucci, 84, of Ashtabula, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Friday morning.

Born October 4, 1933, in Ashtabula Ohio, the daughter of Dominic and Lena (Bassignana) Massucci.  Shirley was retired after 37 years from Ohio Bell and AT & T as a supervisor both in Ashtabula and Cleveland.  She was a lifetime member of the Telephone of Pioneers of America and Our Lady of Peace Parish (Mt. Carmel).  Shirely was instrumental in her family businesses which included Massucci Funeral Home and Massucci Geneva Ford.

She was a dedicated volunteer of the church as well as St. John School.  She was a past president of Catholic Daughters of America.

Shirley was very involved in the lives of her nieces and nephews supporting their sporting events at St. John High School and was known to many as Aunt Shirley.   Family always come first with Shirely whether it was a Sunday gatherings around the kitchen table or the traditional Christmas Eve feast.  She enjoyed bowling, weekly craft group with friends, reading, jigsaw puzzles and watching the Cleveland Cavs and Blue Bloods.  She passed along her family traditions teaching her niece Michelle her traditional recipes.  She enjoyed summers with her nieces and nephews at "Pat's Pool."

Shirley was always willing to help anyone in need.  Her guidance and advice were always offered with love!

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her brother Pat Massucci, sisters Angeline Massucci and Emma (Massucci) Esposito.

Survivors include her brother Dominic (Carol) Massucci of whom she made her home with over the last 5 years.  Her brother in law Tony (Helen) Esposito, beloved niece Michelle Massucci and several additional nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Parish, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church officiated by Father Raymond Thomas 1:30 Tuesday November 28. With burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Ashtabula.  Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM Monday at the Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. Condolences can be made at Guerrierofuneralhome.com
