Obituary

Samuel Severino Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away on May 16, 2023 at the age of 78. Born and raised in Ashtabula he was the son of Anthony and Grace (DiSalvatore) Severino. He treasured his family and friendships from grade school classmates to new.

Sam served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1969 where he was a signaler specialist responsible for military communications and deciphering coded messages during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed Traveling with friends (especially his Las Vegas Crew) and family. After working over 40 years for Conrail/Csx Railroads, he retired and could be found mowing the lawn, tinkering in the garage, watching sports, cooking and playing golf.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Tonyia , his children Sam Severino Jr. , Trina Severino (Mike Crenshaw) and Stacie ( Lou) Orosz ; grandchildren Haley ,Olivia ,Tyler, Toby ,  Cody  and brother Anthony ( Michelle) Severino Jr. They and the many people who loved him, will miss his humor, stories and love.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be on Sunday May 21, 2023 at 5:00 P.M. in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula with Father Raymond Thomas from Our Lady of Peace Parish officiating, Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 to 5 at the funeral home. Condolences can be made at guerrierofuneralhome.com
