Norma L. Penna, age 86, of Ashtabula, died Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at home surrounded by her family.  Born August 27, 1932, in Ashtabula, she was the daughter of Peter Gentile, Lucy (Cimini) and Tony Savarise.

Norma graduated from Ashtabula High School and went on to work for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company. On September 10, 1955 she married Liberador (Libby) Penna in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Norma loved spending time with her family including cooking meals, playing cards, and spectating her grandchildren's sporting events. In addition, she enjoyed watching tennis and completing word search puzzles.

Survivors include son, Tom (Jennette) Penna of Ashtabula; daughters, Lynn (Ron) Nappi of Ashtabula, and Renee (Jim) Mayberry of Canfield; grandchildren Carly and Allison Penna, Ryan Nappi, and Hannah and Jimmy Mayberry; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Libby, parents, step-father, and brother, Walter Gentile.

Funeral mass will be celebrated at 12 p.m., Wednesday, April 24th, at Our Lady of Peace Parish, Mount Carmel Church, with burial to follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 23rd, at Guerriero Funeral Home, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula.
