Obituary

October 31st 2026, Madelyn Antoinette Goudy, 82, passed peacefully in her sleep at Saybrook

Landing Rehabilitation. Loving and caring wife of the late Joseph W. Goudy married for 54 years

at the time of his death.

Madelyn was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, September 19, 1944 the daughter of the late Anthony J.

and Margaret (Cello) Solembrino. She was very Proud of her husband for his Army Service in

Vietnam and all of her Children and Grandchildren's accomplishments. She worked many years

at Hill’s Dept. Store and many Nursing Homes in Ashtabula, as she was a devoted caregiver.

She is survived by her sister Caryl (Jack) Diemer. Loved and remembered by her children Jay

(Tammy) Goudy, Jodi (Keith Arnold) Goudy-Burns and Joseph (Joanne) Goudy II. She will

always be remembered by her grandchildren Jay (Karli) Goudy, Nicolle (Nick) Sturtevant, Cody

Goudy, Brandon Goudy-Burns, Joshua (Star) Burnett, Wendie (Ryan) Spangler, Hollie Nieves,

Jenne (Kyle) Brown and 15 Great Grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

Madelyn was preceded in death by her brother Michael Solembrino and Sister-in-Law Patricia

Whitcomb earlier this year.

Everyone knew Madelyn (Madge) for the way she would bring light to a room, by her calling

everyone the wrong name and her LOVE for Elvis Presley. She never made it to Graceland, but

we are sure she is talking his ear off now. It is ironic she passed on Halloween morning, as she

really loved dressing up and seeing all of the different costumes.

She will be Deeply missed by everyone she had ever met!

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday Nov. 7 at 11:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Peace Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with entombment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 5 to 7 at Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19 ST. Ashtabula. Condolences can be made at guerrierofuneralhome.com
