Lewis C. Smith, Jr, 67, of East 44th Street died Friday, December 31, 2021 at Ashtabula County Medical Center.

He was born June 10th, 1954 in Ashtabula, the son of Lewis C. Smith Sr. and Frances J. (Domenico) Smith.

Lew worked for many years at both Molded Fiberglass and Ashtabula Rubber Company.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, was the current President of The Sons of Italy, an active member at the East Ashtabula Club, and was  President and coached at Ashtabula Little League for over 35 years.

He is survived by his two sons, Lewis (Shannon) Smith III of Cincinnati and Bryan (Nicole) Smith of Ashtabula; Grand Children, Logan, Parker, Lilly, Bryan, Tyler, Cooper; Brother, Fred (Renee) Smith of Ashtabula; Sisters, Traci (Doug) Warren of Ashtabula, Jenny (Chris) Hughes of Columbus, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Smith of Orlando, Florida.

Calling hours will be 5-7PM Friday, January 7th, 2022 at Guerriero Funeral Home, 1550 West 19th Street, Ashtabula.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM Saturday, January 8th, 2022 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 1200 East 21st Street, Ashtabula
