Kathleen (Kathy) Savarise June 13, 1942 – August 23, 2025
Kathleen (Kathy) Savarise, 83, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, at Ashtabula Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on June 13, 1942, in Euclid, Ohio, Kathy was the daughter of the late Thomas and Irene Kerins. She was a 1960 graduate of St. John High School, where she met the love of her life and high school sweetheart, William Savarise. They married on June 21, 1962, and shared over six decades of love, laughter, and family.
Kathy dedicated 35 years to Millenium Chemical, where she retired as the Accounts Payable Supervisor. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, Mount Carmel Church, where she found strength in her faith and community.
Family was at the center of Kathy's life. She cherished Sunday dinners, coffee klatches, card games, and spending time with her grandchildren — her greatest joy. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, William Savarise; her children, Thomas (Kellee) Savarise, Karen (Jack) Fortune, and William Savarise Jr.; her grandchildren, Maegan and Meredith Savarise, Madison and Molly Fortune; and her siblings, Thomas Kerins, Margaret Pavolino, and Timothy Kerins, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Douglas Savarise; and her sisters, Barbara Godley and Patricia Davis.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, August 27, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Guerriero Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 28, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Peace Parish, Mount Carmel Church.
Kathy's warmth, kindness, and love of family will be remembered always. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. John School or American Heart Association.
