Juana Fernandez, 83, went peacefully into the arms of the Lord on October 30th, 2023.  She resided in Ashtabula, Ohio for 8 years, formerly of Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Born in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico to Emilio Fernandez and Cipriana Calderon, Juana was a seamstress and aide, and worked for Don Schantz Nursery in the lettuce department for many years.

She was a loving mother, good cook, and a very caring person.  She enjoyed time with the family and was loved by everyone.

She is survived by three children:  Sonia Nieves (Ruben Salgado) and Victor Figueroa of Ashtabula and Carmen Figueroa of Allentown; Four siblings:  Pedro Fernandez of New Jersey, Ismael Fernandez and Carmen Fernandez, both of Pennsylvania, and Cruz Fernandez of Puerto Rico.  She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, many "GREAT" grandchildren, and her beloved pet companion Nala.

Juana is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Gonzalez, children Carmen Rosado and Julio Rosado, and sisters Francisca Fernandez and Maria Rivera.

Funeral service will be on Saturday Nov. 4, at Noon in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 west 19th St. in Ashtabula. Burial will take place in Edgewood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday Morning from 10 till 12. Condolences can be made at guerrierofuneralhome.com
