Josephine Elizabeth Corbissero (101) of Ashtabula died on Feb. 11, 2017 at the Country Club Retirement in Ashtabula , where she peacefully slipped away to touch the face of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cataldo and Marie (Andellora) Falzone , husband Frank (Chick) Corbissere (AKA"the candy man"), three sister and 4 brothers.

She is survived by her son David (Patricia) of Painesville, sister Rose Scalise of Florida, grandsons Darren of Cincinnati, and Dean (Lisa) of Austin Tx, and great grandchildren Caitlyn and Nathan of Cincinnati, and Joanna and Rob Phelps of Jefferson who provided loving care when Josephine lived alone.

Josephine was retired from Carlise's Department Store in Ashtabula, blessed with excellent health right up to the time of her death and was a true inspiration to all of those she met. She loved her family above all else, and was a kind, gracious, compassionate and generous women. She always put the needs of others above her own.

Josephine was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and the Sons of Italy of America Anita Garibaldi Lodge of Ashtabula.

Funeral service will be on Friday at 11:00 A.M. in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. Ashtabula with Father David Bridling of Our Lady of Peace officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 to 7 at the funeral home.
