Jennie Lupo (94) of Ashtabula died on Tuesday morning at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 7, 1921 in Ashtabula she was the daughter of Giuseppe and Concetta (DiFalco) Chiacchiero.
Mrs. Lupo Graduated from Ashtabula High School class of 1939 and also attended the Ashtabula Branch of Kent State University, on Aug. 9, 1941 she married Victor Lupo.
Before retiring Mrs. Lupo worked in accounts payable for Molded Fiberglass Industries and North American Rockwell Plastics, She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, member of the Ashtabula Elks Lodge #208 Ladies Auxiliary, and above all she loved her family.
Survivors include her sons Joe (Stormee) Lupo of Lakeland, Fl., Ron ( Lenore) Lupo of Landenberg, Pa. , grandchildren Victoria (Ross) McClain , Kenneth Lupo , Ronelle (Eric)Myers, Ronald (Christine) Lupo , great grandchildren Kahley Weekley , Leighlyn McClain , Anna Myers , Caden Myers , and one on the way, sister Nancy Leng of Ashtabula, brother Anthony Chiacchiero of Ashtabula , and many nieces and nephews who were an integral part of her love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Victor Lupo, sisters Edith Prisco, and Mary Canzonetta, and two infant brothers Celestrine and Cosmos.
A special thanks to her niece Dr. Connie Bowler and the administration and staff of the Ashtabula County Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. I lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday Oct. 29 at 9:30 A.M. in Our Lady of Peace Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with Father Raymond Thomas officiating, burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 5 to 7 P.M. and 8:15 to 9:00 A.M. on Saturday at Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. Ashtabula, www.guerrierofuneralhome.com.
