Jennie M. Fratis (94) of Ashtabula died at home on Jan. 1, 2017

Born June 24, 1922 in Ashtabula she was the daughter of Paul and Mary (DelPrince) Frabutt.

Jennie graduated from Ashtabula High School class of 1941 and in 1942 she married her husband John C. Fratis.

Mrs. Fratis was a cafeteria worker at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School. She enjoyed cooking at home and family togetherness. Jennie was a 20 year cancer survivor and a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish.

Survivors include her daughter Mary Ann Koski of Ashtabula , son Lawrence John (Nancy) Fratis of Ashtabula , grandsons Douglas (Lisa) Koski , Andrew (Jen) Koski , granddaughter Mary Theresa Fratis , great grandchildren Jillian Koski , Kyle Koski , Joey Koski , and Gianna Koski , several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Fratis, grandson Eric Koski, sisters Florence Rapose, Laura Pizzuto, brothers Ernest and Marino Frabutt.

The family would like to thank the Hospice of the Western Reserve and Comfort Keeper of Ashtabula County for their care and support.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday Jan. 5, at Noon in Our Lady of Peace Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday morning from 10 to 11:30 A.M. at Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula.
