James J Rich, 76, of Ashtabula, passed away at home on April 26, 2022, after a long illness.

He was the youngest son of Tony and Anna (Sturdevant) Rich.  He was married to Linda (Spangler) Rich, for 53 years.  Jim is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Kori Rich; Daughter Kathy Rich; Grandchildren Kara Norman and Keith and Ciara Jones; and sister Felicia Gibbs.

Jim was preceded in death by brothers Tony and Pat; sisters Betty, Irene and Ralphina and son-in-law Richard Hernandez.

Jim was a lifetime member of the EAC and a past member of the Wolves Club and the Sons of Italy.  He was a coach for Ashtabula Little League and a PTA officer at Mt Carmel School.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved playing cards with his "poker buddies."

Jim was grateful for close family and friends who always provided love and support.  The family would also like to thank the "Angels" at the Hospice of the Western Reserve for providing exceptional care.
