Saybrook~ Richard Hornstein, "Pops" 78 passed away August 12 , 2021.  Born in Meadville PA 4/27/1943.  Richard owned Forinash / Furniture Town 1971-2000 & was Director of the Board of Elections 1980–2010.  He enjoyed politics and was chairman of the republican party from 1980 –2010. President of the Conservative club for eight years.  President of Northeastern Ohio Horseman Association, AQHA and Dusty Boots  riding club. He owned and operated Hornstein Quarter Horses for  40 years and was a member of BPOE208 Elks lodge.

Survivors include his Sister Sue Ross, children Darla (John) Ramirez, Sherry(Don) Berlin.  Six grandchildren, Amanda , Drew and Faith Ramirez. Ryan, Jake and Jon Huang. And one great grand daughter Brooklynn.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Judy Hornstein of 55 years, his parents  Joseph and Eleanor Hornstein, his brother Clark Hornstein.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021 3:30-5:30. in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. Ashtabula . Private memorial service to follow. ,
