Filomena Jennie Jackson (78) of Ashtabula passed peacefully after a short illness at the University Hospital Geauga Medical Center.

Born Feb. 6, 1944 in Ashtabula she was the daughter of Julius and Florence Azzano Petro.

Filomena graduated from Ashtabula High School class of 1962 and on Nov. 9, 1963 she married Jack Jackson in Ashtabula.

She enjoyed cooking, country music, gambling, Facebook, and television. Most of all she loved her grandchildren with all her heart.

Survivors include her husband Jack Jackson , sons Jimmy Jackson , Tommy (MaryJo) Jackson , daughter Denise (Joe) Herron and , Mary Ann Palumbo , grandchildren Alisha (Kevin) McLaughlin , April (Nick ))Merlene , Joey (Kate) Herron , Megan (Michael) Alazawi , great grandchildren Emma , Brody , Rockne , Madison , Patrick , and Benjamin , brother Julius (Stephanie) Petro and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents , and sister MaryAnn Parke.

Funeral Service will be on Saturday at 12:30 in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 10:30 to 12:30 at the funeral home. Condolences can be made at guerrierofuneralhome.com
